Finyana
is a lovely flaxen chestnut 2 year old filly that could
be registered as a half-Arabian or an American Sport Pony. It is because
her sire is the registered Arabian and Premium Sport Pony stallion "Starglow
Questor".
Finyana will not get over 14.2 hh as I have
bred her Paint dam, Whata Ending, a few times and none of her offspring
(even when sired by 15.3 hh horses) have achieved a height over 14.2
hh.
Finyana attended her first horse show on August 12th at the Walkerton
Equine Summer Classic and was a "super trooper". She
placed 6th in her class but proved that she had the temperament to be
an excellent child's sport pony. We had her mane and tail braided
in the parking lot full of people, horses, ponies and trailers and she
was quiet and patient.
She had to hop on and off the horse
trailer that transported her a few times that day as we were sharing the
trailering and each time she calmly and willingly did that. We were so
impressed with this little gal as she had never been off the farm before
this.
